Field Screen and Genotyping of Phaseolus vulgaris against Two Begomoviruses in Georgia, USA

چکیده

The production and quality of Phaseolusvulgaris (snap bean) have been negatively impacted by leaf crumple disease caused two whitefly-transmitted begomoviruses: cucurbit virus (CuLCrV) sida golden mosaic Florida (SiGMFV), which often appear as a mixed infection in Georgia. Host resistance is the most economical management strategy against viruses. Currently, information not available with respect to these viruses commercial cultivars. In field seasons (2018 2019), we screened Phaseolus spp. genotypes (n = 84 2018; n 80 2019; were common both years few exceptions) for CuLCrV and/or SiGMFV. We also included commonly grown Lima bean (Phaseolus lunatus) varieties our screening. Twenty high moderate-levels (disease severity ranging from 5%–50%) SiGMFV identified. Twenty-one found be highly susceptible ?66%. Furthermore, based on greenhouse evaluation genotypes-each (two resistant; identified screen) exposed viruliferous whiteflies infected SiGMFV, observed that accumulated higher copy numbers displayed severe compared resistant genotypes, indicating might potentially complex rather than whiteflies. Adult whitefly counts differed significantly among years. whole genome [snap 82); 2)] was sequenced genetic variability them Over 900 giga-base (Gb) filtered data generated >88% resulting mapped reference genome, SNP Indel variants obtained. A total 645,729 SNPs 68,713 Indels, including 30,169 insertions 38,543 deletions, identified, distributed 11 chromosomes chromosome 02 harboring maximum number variants. This phenotypic genotypic will helpful genome-wide association studies aid identifying basis begomoviruses

Residues and Dissipation Kinetics of Two Imidacloprid Nanoformulations on Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) under Field Conditions

The current study investigates the dissipation kinetics of two imidacloprid (IMI) nanoformulations (entitled: Nano-IMI and Nano-IMI/TiO2) on common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) seeds under field conditions and compares them with 35% Suspension Concentrate (SC) commercial formulation. To do so, it sprays P. vulgaris plants at 30 and 60 g/ha within green bean stage, sampling them during the 14-day p...

Glycosidases of Phaseolus vulgaris

The enzymes, cr-galactosidase, P-galactosidase, a-mannosidase, P-glucosidase, and p-acetylglucosaminidase, have been purified from the germinating seeds of Phaseolus vulgaris. All five enzymes have been simultaneously isolated in a highly active form. The pH optimum, K,,,, and energy of activation of each glycosidase for the reaction of hydrolysis of the appropriate P-nitrophenyl glycoside have...

Dissecting Phaseolus vulgaris Innate Immune System against Colletotrichum lindemuthianum Infection

BACKGROUND The genus Colletotrichum is one of the most economically important plant pathogens, causing anthracnose on a wide range of crops including common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Crop yield can be dramatically decreased depending on the plant cultivar used and the environmental conditions. This study aimed to identify potential genetic components of the bean immune system to provide en...
